Faculty members from the Tateyama-Ando Group and the Kitaguchi Group at our institute were each awarded the  Seiichi Tejima Research Awards for FY 2025. The award ceremony was held on March 10, 2026, at the Digital Multipurpose Hall at Tokyo University of Science.

　A prominent figure in the history of Science Tokyo, Seiichi Tejima devoted his career to the advancement of engineering education in Japan. He served for over 25 years as Principal of Tokyo Technical School and Tokyo Higher Technical School, predecessors of Tokyo Institute of Technology, and now, Science Tokyo. After he retired in 1917, funds were raised by eminent government officials, business magnates, and academics to establish the "Seiichi Tejima Research Awards" in his honor.
